About Us

Peggy Borgstede, founder of Best Bookkeeping, has over 30 years of accounting experience. She began her career as an operational auditor and then financial auditor for a Fortune 500 company. With an MBA in Finance from New York University, Peggy has served as Accounting Manager and then Controller for several mid-sized companies; opened and managed an H&R Block office in New York City and in 1995 started Best Bookkeeping as a bookkeeping and tax service company.

Peggy is a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor expert in all Quickbooks versions including Enterprise Solutions.

Best Bookkeeping has a staff of professional full-charge bookkeepers and Certified Public Accountants who are expert in corporate, partnership, non-profit, fiduciary and individual taxation. They have dealt with the Internal Revenue Service, NYS sales tax audits, NYS Department of Labor and Workers' Compensation issues as well as other various taxing authorities along the East Coast as well as further West with extremely high success rate.
